Tim Curry was born in England in 1946 and studied English and drama at the University of Birmingham. His professional career began on the London stage, including the original London production of Hair in 1968.
It was through the theater world that Curry crossed paths with Richard O'Brien, who would go on to create The Rocky Horror Show.
That connection would eventually lead to one of the most recognizable characters in musical theater and film history.
Becoming Frank-N-Furter
In 1973, Curry stepped into the role of Dr. Frank-N-Furter in the original London production of The Rocky Horror Show.
