MEET THE ARTIST AT SDCC

Adam Benet Shaw at Comic-Con 2026

Adam Benet Shaw, artist and founder of PopBrush

Behind every PopBrush original is the hand of artist Adam Benet Shaw. At San Diego Comic-Con 2026, fans and collectors can meet Adam and discover how a classically trained figurative painter turns pop-culture inspiration into art made for everyday life.

Painter, Illustrator, and Comic Creator

Adam studied painting at the Cleveland Institute of Art and the Edinburgh College of Art. His work has appeared in more than 50 group and solo exhibitions and in publications from comic and book publishers including Dark Horse, Image Comics, and Dynamite.

His portfolio crosses oil and acrylic painting, portraiture, charcoal drawing, murals, graphic novels, book covers, and illustration for gaming and film. Adam is also the creator and artist of the graphic novel Bloodstream, published by Image Comics. That experience in sequential art gives him an instinct for character, expression, and the single image that can suggest a much larger story.

The Artist Behind PopBrush

With PopBrush, Adam brings his art off the gallery wall and into the lives of fans. He creates original and custom work inspired by the musicians, characters, and cultural figures people care about most—on canvas, as collectible prints, and on hand-painted denim made to be worn.

These are not mass-produced reproductions disguised as originals. PopBrush is grounded in visible craft: real paint, deliberate brushwork, and the decisions of a working artist. Every custom piece is made to carry the energy of its subject and the personal connection of the person who commissions it.
